retain document details during metadata editing when I switch document type or switch from Manual Resolve to Edit Metadata

Not sure whether this is a bug or a feature request.
Here's how this goes:
First Scenario:
1. Document metadata doesn't autopopulate, so I type in a title and click to Manually Resolve.
2. Papers (Web) doesn't find the doc, so I switch to Edit Metadata, and the title I just typed in gets erased.
3. I have to re-enter the data.
Second Scenario:
1. I start adding document details in Edit Metadata.
2. I realize the document type is incorrect, so I switch document types and lose all my progress. Or I save first, but then that panel closes and I have to click through to reenter Edit Metadata.
