You can send a shareable Public List of references with the Papers web and desktop apps.

Right-click on any library, list or smartlist or click on the cog icon and select the "Share as a public list" option to make it public:

Anyone with the dynamic link will be able to see the metadata of all the references within the group. They can try and import the PDF's themselves if they have a Papers account and the article is an open access one. If someone is using a different program, they can export via .bib or .ris files.

To stop sharing something as a public list simply right-click on the library/list/smartlist again (or on the cog icon next to it), select the "Share as a public list" option and then click on "Stop Sharing" and the list will no longer be public.

Take a look at a few ways to use Public Lists with your research.
