The function bars at the top in the PDF reader view take about 10% of a 13'' screen, which is a lot if you want to read articles in a decent size which graphics and text (that's not such a big problem on a 32'' screen, of course).
It would help a lot if the top bar with just the Papers Icon (which takes up a lot of space for no good reason) could be hidden or if the menu could hide while reading and pop up with a specific gesture. Alternatively, one could have fullscreen view option for longer reading sessions.
