This is implemented. If you open a PDF in chrome you should see the Save PDF to ReadCube in the bottom right allowing you to save that PDF straight to your library. If this doesn't show up you can always click on the extension icon and it will force this blue button to open up.
This happens to me as well...despite the update of the Chrome extension...I always need to download the PDF and then to import it manually to the app.

It might be because I'm working on a chromebook, but the web extension is kind of janky when I find a .pdf i want to import into my library, my understanding of the workflow is I have to download to my computer then upload to the papers app. Could there be a Pocket-like feature on the extension that allows for adding a .pdf through a right-click option to cut that portion out?
